I think what they ought to do for testing is drive from neighborhood to neighborhood with music playing like an ice cream truck and do Covid-19 testing. Everyone who gets a test gets an ice cream. Here is an idea stolen from Aldi's. You can go into the store without a mask but you have to pay 25 cents.

Feeling good today. Eau Claire is giving 600 tests today and they are free.Test and trace has begun. I think this means we are finally on the road to recovery. My new router arrived yesterday but it has to sit in quarantine for three days before I can try it and see if it solves my connection issues. Still working on my daughter's laptop which is very lagged. My work computer does not have much lag but it tends to drop the internet connection frequently. The models are looking very good for Wisconsin:

I was reading an article on Facebook yesterday and I saw a comment about how Covid-19 was not that serious and the government was taking our rights away. So I looked at the person's profile and noticed he had been posting at least ten times an hour. Sometimes in other languages. So it seems like there are internet Trolls and bots out there spreading misinformation. Why send an army when disinformation can kill many Americans. I do not know if they are Russians, terrorists, or some other organization but they seem to be picked up by the Alt Right, and Fox News and given credibility. For awhile I could go to the CDC website and click on a link and download the daily state data but now I have to copy and paste it then parse it semi-manually using a spreadsheet.

The CDC did not update their Covid-19 page today. There will be a hard frost tonight so we covered the plants again. It is supposed to snow/sleet on Saturday night into Sunday morning. Unfortunately my radishes decided to come up yesterday so I am not sure if they will survive. My wife got groceries today, had them put in the trunk. We cleaned the packages with Clorox wipes before putting them away. I told her to save the wipes. We should be able to clean them and reuse them if we run out. Wisconsin is in pretty good shape having a biotechnology center at Madison where they can manufacture the tests for Covid-19. We are ramping up testing and should be able to meet our goals soon. I hope that Wisconsin will come through this relatively unscathed. The governor acted quickly enough to save the lives of many Wisconsinites. I heard a rumor that watching Plandemic lowers your IQ by 10 points for every 5 minutes you spend watching it. The deaths per day in the US continues to be approximatel

Staying home has been easy for me because I am a technical college instructor and I have been able to teach from home. I do not usually go out much. I enjoy working in my garden. I can design stuff on the computer. It really is not bad for me. I take many precautions to hopefully not catch the virus. We have developed systems for getting the mail and groceries. Anything that would bring us into contact with other people. Most of our shopping is online. My wife drives to the grocery store and they put the groceries into the trunk. Anything that is perishable we wipe off with bleach. Non-perishables sit in the garage for three days. We transfer eggs into a different egg container. Sometimes our daughter brings us groceries. We talk to her from our deck in front of the house. I try to drive the car around once a week to help with the battery, the tires, and the breaks. Get it moving a bit. We are almost out of gas for the lawn mower. I siphoned gas out of the snow thrower into the lawn mo

The people who refuse to isolate themselves are the ones who are to blame for keeping the US closed. Those that have been following the quarantine instructions are the true patriots. Be a patriot, stop the spread. It saves lives and saves the economy. Now that I have been doing the quarantine for a while I am starting to really see the benefits of it. I work from home. I almost never drive anywhere. We produce much less waste. I do not buy things unless I really need them. I spend more time out in the garden. I spend more time with my family. We are producing less carbon emission. I think this type of lifestyle change could be showing us what would be necessary to prevent climate change. Number of deaths reported to the CDC from Covid-19 between May 4 -5. Florida reported zero but their web site says 72 so I put it in for them. Arizona apparently had 83 rise from the dead presumably as zombies. 157 New York 86 Massachusetts 86 Michigan 73 Maryland 72 Florida 61 Connecticut

Since the death rate is now approximately constant a simple linear least squares model can be used to figure out when we will hit the following milestones: Total US Deaths Date 100000 5/18/2020 200000 7/6/2020 300000 8/24/2020 400000 10/11/2020 500000 11/29/2020 600000 1/17/2021 700000 3/6/2021 800000 4/24/2021 900000 6/12/2021 1000000 7/30/2021 Average deaths per day for May 1-3 2020 US States New York 308 New Jersey 257 Massachusetts 142 Michigan 116 Illinois 102 California 95 Connecticut 90 Pennsylvania 63 Indiana 58 Florida 48 Texas 33 Georgia 31 Maryland 30 Colorado 28 Minnesota 26 Ohio 23 Louisiana 23 North Carolina 21 Virginia 18 Wisconsin only had 1 new death today but Eau Claire county had 5 new cases. Haven't done the Wisconsin sequence for a while so here it is:
